Frequently asked questions:

Do you shoot destination weddings?

YES, Kiera Elise Photography does shoot destination weddings, along with weddings involving travel within BC. Contact me for details on my standard travel fee associated with events located outside of 20km of Williams Lake's city centre.

What is your cancellation & refund policy?

I ask that a deposit of 40% of the total session fee be paid on the day of booking to secure your session date. The remaining amount is due 24 hours before your session date. If you need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, you may defer your deposit to a later date. Any client who does not reschedule or cancel within 48 hours of your session date/time forfeits the 40% retainer fee.

What do you charge?

My package pricing varies depending on the type of session, how many people are involved, whether hair/makeup/wardrobe are included, the length of the session, and the number of images/prints delivered per package. Please see my pricing guide for more comprehensive details.

Pricing reflects number of images delivered, length of session, travel, wardrobe, styling, and equipment needed.

Do I have to order prints through you?

You do not have to order prints through my site, however I would highly recommend it. In ordering through kieraelisephotography.com, you are sending your orders to a professional, renowned lab where your prints will be handled and produced with the utmost care and highest quality.

Do you deliver RAW riles/all unedited photos?

No, I do not. Portrait session clients may request a proof gallery to select the images they would like edited (up to the maximum number of images included in the package). Proof galleries are not utilized for large-scale events and weddings due to the sheer number of images taken per event. Unedited files are not delivered to clients under any circumstances.

How long do you store client files?

I store client files for 6 months following a session. It is the clients' responsibility to download their completed gallery once it is delivered via email - loss of files or failure to download your gallery within this timeframe could mean the loss of your gallery.

How far in advance do we need to book?

Depending on the month you’re booking, I can be booked for up to 3-4 weeks at a time. For weddings, I’m often booked a year (or more) in advance. I limit the number of weddings that I take on each year to assure that I’ll have ample time to focus on each one individually, so it’s worth reaching out sooner than later to reserve your date.

It’s also worth mentioning that June-October is, by far, my busiest season, so please don’t delay if you’ve chosen a Summer or Fall date!

It’s always best to complete your booking as soon as you’re sure I’m the photographer for you. A signed contract and a retainer (40% of the cost of your chosen collection) are due to reserve your date.
